Release 26/01/2026 - UX improvements make Distil Diagnostics easier to use

  • Updated

This release features a series of usability and performance improvements to make Distil Diagnostics easier to use and perform more consistently.

Dashboard load times reduced

Dashboard performance has been improved by switching charts to use pre-calculated statistics, resulting in faster load times.

Onboarding experience improved

Onboarding friction has been reduced by accepting multiple website formats when creating an organisation.

Restaurants now listed alphabetically

Restaurant lists are now consistently ordered alphabetically across Forecast, Availability, and Expectations screens.

Day selection now persistent with weekly changes

The selected day now persists while scrolling through Availability grids, helping users keep context.

Dates now shown on charts throughout

Dates have been added to Forecast and Availability scans and to summary charts, improving navigation and clarity. The active organisation name now appears in the browser tab, which is especially useful for users working across multiple organisations.

Friendly Restaurant Names improve Readability

Friendly Restaurant Names have been introduced to improve readability across the UI and reporting. Friendly Names replace long restaurant names where defined, are auto-generated when restaurants are added, can be edited in Settings, must be unique, and are synced into Analytics. Hovering still reveals the full original name, so no information is lost.

Expectations re-calculating user feedback

There is a new feedback message to let users know that when Expectations have changed, the new data will appear shortly after processing.
