Introduction to Integrations

  • Updated

Distil comes with an ever-increasing number of integrations with popular platforms, allowing you to automatically bring your customer data into Distil, and action insights by pushing data out into marketing execution platforms.

We also offer a powerful API, and a very popular Shopify App.

While the steps outlined below are similar for all platforms, the details can vary. Therefore, we are creating a series of articles for each of the platforms below, with step-by-step guides to setting up Integrations. This is a work in progress, so if you can't click the logo of your platform, then use the instructions in this article

If you don't see your platform above, you can set up a new Integration connection by following the instructions below.

Once you have set up the connection, you can pull data into Distil by using the Integration as a data source. You can also use the connection to push data from Distil into the platform, by using Destinations.

You may be able to set up a connection via the Distil API. If this isn't possible then please get in touch and we can discuss options.

Create a New Connection

Click the Settings icon in the bottom left of any view within Distil, and then select Integrations from the top menu bar.

In the left menu bar, underneath Add Connection, click on the icon for the platform you want to connect. Give the connection a name and a brief description, and then enter the other connection parameters such as API Key.

The connection parameters will vary depending on the platform. We've created more detailed guides for most platforms in this section.

To find your parameter values, have a look in the platform's user documentation. For example, if you're connecting to MailChimp, you can find information on how to generate an API key in this article within MailChimp's documentation.

View Existing Connections

Click the Settings icon in the bottom left of any view within Distil, and then select Integrations from the top menu bar.

In the left menu bar you will see a list of your currently active connections, the name of the integration and the number of data sources. In the example above, there are two active connections: Klaviyo and Shopify. You can enable or disable each data source by clicking the slider.
